Artists Reception for This Land is Your Land. 

A very special Art show is coming Ito the Goodnow Library! Several years ago, Sandy Wilensky, retired educator and local artist, who was teaching a Watercolor class at the Sudbury Senior Center, had an idea for an Art show. She instructed her students to create watercolor paintings of various scenes of the United States of America. Sandy was working with the staff at the Goodnow Library to create a show which she wanted to call “This Land is Your Land, This Land is My Land.” The images would be based on the lyrics of the Woody Guthrie classic folk song.

Unfortunately, all the plans were postponed because of the Covid epidemic. Then, sadly, Sandy lost her battle with cancer in February of 2022. Her students, however, have worked together to assemble all the artwork that was created during this project and make Sandy’s vision a reality. That extraordinary Art Show, over 40 scenes of America, will be on display at the Goodnow Library in December.
