The Bookies title for the next discussion is The Glass Castle: A Memoir, Jeannette Walls. Published in 2005, this nonfiction title traces the involved struggles of children of dysfunctional parents. A very popular book that is consistently requested and checked out. The Bookies will get a chance to peer into the 'glass castle' to see if there may be a bit of nobility to bet on!

We hope you'll join us on Tuesday, February 21 at 7 pm. Just ask at the Circulation Desk for a copy.

At our last meeting we discussed The River Swimmer by Jim Harrison. A book with two novellas that follows two main characters, one 60 years old and the other, 17 years old. Each with a unique and true-to-life story to tell, where intersections of the heritage and land of Michigan figure into the directions the main characters take. We enjoyed the stories very much, from a well-received author who recently passed away.
