Kids in grades 4 & 5 are invited to join our fourth children's program in the Sudbury CARES series:  the Goodnow Kids Book Discussion of The Parker Inheritance by Varian Johnson.

The Parker Inheritance is the story of 12-year-old Candice, whose grandmother died after being dismissed from her job as city manager after having the tennis courts dug up looking for buried treasure. When Candice finds a letter with clues to the treasure hunt, she finds herself caught up in the mystery!  She sets out to find the inheritance, exonerate her grandmother, and expose an injustice once committed against a local African American family.

Copies of The Parker Inheritance are available at the Goodnow Library. Call 978-440-5540 to reserve a copy for contactless pickup. The audiobook is also available for free download through Hoopla.

Sudbury CARES (Community Anti-Racism Education Series) is a community-wide initiative formed to create a space for everyone in our community to discuss and learn about racism, causes of systemic racism, and what can be done to counteract it.
