For the month of October, we will be discussing the film Meet the Patels.

Released in
2014, the romantic comedy documentary revolves around Ravi Patel, an almost 30-year-old Indian American who gets help from his parents to start looking for a wife.  The film explores the expectations surrounding marriage in the Patels' first-generation Indian immigrant family and in wider American society.

The film is available for free streaming on Kanopy.
