Join us for our first ever Scarecrow Competition! Create a literary scarecrow to display on the library's front lawn throughout October. Once you register, you will receive an email telling you when you can pick up a free scarecrow frame from the children's room. Return your completed scarecrow by Friday Oct, 29th so we can have it on display during our Halloween Fest on Saturday. Only 1 registration per family.

RULES

-The entry form must be completed & given to the Children’s department during scarecrow drop-off

-Entries may be submitted as a family, an individual, a group or a business, but only 1 submission.

-Participants can pick up a scarecrow frame from the Children's Room once they have registered online

-Scarecrows will be displayed OUTSIDE so they must be able to withstand the weather.

 -All submissions must be appropriate for all audiences to view (at the discretion of the library).

-All entries must be delivered to the children's department before 10/30, during library open hours.

-All entries will be on display outside on our Halloween Fest on 10/30 and voted on. If however a scarecrow has deteriorated to the point of falling apart the library will contact the participant to either fix the submission or remove it.

-All entries must be picked up from the library between 11/1 to 11/6 during library open hours. If at that point if they are not picked up they will become property of the library.

-Decision of the People’s Choice Award will be notified Friday, Nov. 5 and announced on social media.
