Join us on a presentation of Reptiles of New England and Beyond on July 20 at 7:00pm. Come explore reptiles with Joy Marzolf, founder of The Joys of Nature! Learn about reptiles from Massachusetts and beyond with fresh water turtles, lizards and snakes! What is the difference between a turtle and a tortoise? Are there any local lizards? Are snakes really slimy? Learn about the amazing adaptations of reptiles that allow them to survive their habitats and how many of them are beneficial to us!
Joy has always loved animals since she was a child growing up in New England! She has over 20 years of experience in providing animal-related education programs. One of her favorite things to do is break people's misconceptions about many animals, especially those that people fear, such as predators including sharks, reptiles and spiders. Joy was a Naturalist and Educator at Mass Audubon's Broadmoor Wildlife Sanctuary for over 13 years. She was also a trip leader and naturalist on canoe trips in both Massachusetts and New Hampshire. In the last few years, she has been a Naturalist Trip leader for marine related trips for the Oceanic Society.
