Decide for yourself: Should this book be in school?
Join us as we dig deep into books that have been challenged in America’s schools. We’ll read and discuss one book (or group of short books) each season. On Sunday, March 30, we will discuss three picture books that feature children exploring who they are and what they like: Jacob’s New Dress by Sarah and Ian Hoffman, Mary Wears What She Wants by Keith Negley, and Pink is for Boys by Robb Pearlman. Each of these books has been challenged or banned in multiple states. We will meet IN PERSON on Sunday, March 30, from 3PM - 4PM. You will leave with a toolkit for discussions about books.
Discussion facilitated by Sudbury for Racial and Social Justice. This group is for adults (18+).
Registration is required. If you are registering for more than one participant, we ask that you register each participant individually.
Session full? Join the waitlist! We'll add another session if there is sufficient interest.
Co-sponsored by Goodnow Library and Sudbury for Racial and Social Justice.
