Join us on Sunday, December 11, at 2PM for an in-person concert by Andy & Judy!
Andy & Judy are Contemporary Folk singer/songwriters hailing from Southeastern Massachusetts. This married couple began playing together in 2009. Beginning instrumentally with a classic folk guitar base, Andy & Judy have deepened their sound through the addition of mandolin, banjo, piano, harmonica, ukulele, and percussion. Their original, lyric driven songs feature close harmonies blending Judy's evocative alto and Andy's rich baritone. Even though their songwriting style has its roots firmly planted in traditional and folk music, the influences of country, gospel, blues, and bluegrass can be heard in their songs. They have performed on Folk coffeehouse stages, in libraries, festivals and House Concerts in 27 states since they started touring in 2016. They strive to write songs that are carefully crafted and performed so that the listener experiences all of the emotions and experiences woven into the music.
This prolific duo has released seven original albums; Riverbend (Nov. 2012), Dragonfly (May 2014), Follow Your Dream (May 2015), This Old Town (June 2017) and Reflections (Sept. 2018), This Road (Sept. 2020) and Let Us Sing (June 2021). Their music has been played by Folk radio stations from coast to coast and overseas.
Judy is from southeastern Massachusetts where she was introduced to folk music at an early age through her mom’s Peter, Paul and Mary records. She started guitar lessons at age 6 with the hope of joining her church folk group. When she started performing with Andy she went back to the guitar and added piano, mandolin, and ukulele to the mix.
Andy was born in Maine and spent most of his youth in upstate New York, where he grew up listening to folk and church music while traveling with his family before eventually settling in the Boston area. He is self-taught on guitar, banjo, mandolin and the harmonica.
