Are you interested in learning more about cacti and succulents? Led by members of the Cactus and Succulent Society of Massachusetts, this highly interactive program gives participants the information they need to grow happy and healthy plants!
In this program, participants can expect:
- An Illustrated Introduction to the wonderful world of Cacti and Succulents
- An array of plants to highlight the differences between various types of cacti and succulents, and to show what to look for (and avoid!) when buying plants
- A potting demonstration based on the different needs of cacti and succulents
- Participants will see an example of each being potted
- An introduction to various cacti and succulent soil mixes, with samples for people to examine
- Handouts are provided that summarize the information presented in the program
- A free, small cactus or succulent to each participant. Everyone leaves with a plant and confidence that they can select, pot, and care for their own cacti and succulents at home. A great introduction to a great hobby!

- What to do when away on vacation
- Basics of propagation (don't throw that leaf out!)
Questions are welcome and encouraged during the program....so bring your questions and problems that you likely have encountered at home regarding cacti and succulents!
