The Bookies meet again on Tuesday, October 29, at 7 pm to discuss Still Life, a mystery novel by Louise Penny. Published in 2008, this is the first of a series of 13 mysteries set in Canada. Inspector Gamache, a quiet but disarmingly intelligent detective, must find the bow and arrow murderer of Jane Neal, a local fixture in a small village outside of Montreal. The Bookies will target our resources at the table and see how close the author has hit the bullseye! We'll hold a safe seat for all interested in joining our friendly discussion!

At our last meeting, the Bookies feasted on Breakfast with Buddha, by Roland Merullo, a road tale on the meaning of life and good humor.
