Bookies book discussion group
Tuesday, July 117:00—8:45 PMConference RoomGoodnow Library21 Concord Rd, Sudbury, MA, 01776
The Bookies will meet on Tuesday, July 11 at 7 pm to discuss Seize the Day, by Saul Bellow. Published in 1956, this much acclaimed novella follows the life of a middle-aged man seeking success and approval from his domineering father.
The Bookies hope to seize the day's literary prize at the discussion table. Feel free to put your stakes in and pick up a copy at the Circulation Desk before the meeting.
At our last meeting, we discussed Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, the highly charged drama written by Edward Albee. We matched Virginia Woolf with our own charge of repartee, providing a spirited Bookies' discussion.
