Birds of prey, also known as raptors, are hunting birds characterized by hooked beaks and powerful grabbing feet armed with sharp talons. Common raptors include hawks, falcons and owls. Come to the library to visit with live birds of prey! Learn about predation, the birds' place at the top of the food web, different hunting adaptations and their status in a rapidly changing world. This program is best for ages 5 & up.   Ages 4 and under MUST sit with an adult due to the nature of this live animal program.


Children under the age of 10 may not be left unattended in the library.
