Be Bold Series: Backyard Science: Expanding outdoor engagement for adults and children through community science.
Tia Pinney from Mass Audubon will be discussing ways we can expand outdoor engagement for adults and children through community science and technology. Tia has worked at Mass Audubon’s Drumlin Farm Wildlife Sanctuary for 25 years. Currently, she is the senior naturalist and ecological management coordinator. Tia is involved in much of the sanctuary’s educational programming as well as being in charge of all ecological issues whether wild, landscaped, or agricultural. Prior to working at Drumlin Farm, she was a high school science teacher and a fabric artist. Tia grew up on a dairy farm in Connecticut and working at Drumlin Farm has been her dream job combining her roots in farming and her love of science and teaching.
This presentation is brought to you buy the Goodnow Library Foundation in partnership with Mass Audubon. Zoom Information will be sent via email as the event gets closer. The event will take place on February 9th at 7pm.
