Join us on Thursday, November 21, at 7PM for an author talk by Helaine Cohen on her book, My Father’s War: Finding Meaning in My Father’s World War II Military Service.
Helaine Cohen will discuss her recently published book, My Father’s War: Finding Meaning in My Father’s World War II Military Experience. The book provides a deep and profound look into the life of Roland Hartman’s extraordinary experiences as an American soldier and POW during World War II. It also delves into the broader war effort and the haunting POW experience.
About the author: Helaine, a Wayland resident, has a Master's degree in World War Studies. After retiring from a career as a certified public accountant, Helaine spent years researching and writing about her father’s World War II experiences, which included crossing the flooded Sauer River into Germany in 1945 and internment as a prisoner of war.
