CANCELED - Alice's Ordinary People: Film Discussion

Thursday, January 197:00—8:00 PMOnlineGoodnow Library21 Concord Rd, Sudbury, MA, 01776

Join us on Thursday, January 19, at 7PM for a VIRTUAL presentation of "Alice's Ordinary People" and film discussion!

Alice's Ordinary People is a documentary film about Alice Tregay - a woman who refused to stand still for injustice. Her remarkable story spans the historic period from the marches of Dr. King to the election of Barack Obama, and her unique contribution in the field of politics is the thread that connects the two.

Join us for a presentation and discussion with independent filmmaker Craig Dudnick, who brought Alice's story to life in the documentary. The presentation begins with an overview of the Civil Rights Movement and Alice's role in bringing politics to the Movement.

The film is available to watch for free through the library's Kanopy streaming service with a library card: https://www.kanopy.com/en/product/243276

Patrons are encouraged to watch the film before the Zoom program, but the presentation can be enjoyed whether or not you've seen the film.
